The new academic term is underway, and we’re excited to launch our focused IB Language & Literature: Paper 2 Exam Practice Batch. This series has been carefully structured to strengthen comparative analysis skills, deepen literary understanding, and build exam confidence ahead of the final IB examinations.

Based on our experience mentoring IB students aiming for 6s and 7s, these sessions are designed to target the most demanding components of Paper 2 comparative essay writing, thematic analysis, textual interpretation, and strategic argument development. Each session builds progressively, ensuring students refine their literary insights while strengthening clarity, structure, and exam technique.

The Paper 2 practice series begins on 12th April 2026, and we strongly recommend attending the full set of sessions to maximise structured preparation and performance under timed conditions. The classes are effectively planned around these focused modules:

IB Lang & Lit Paper 2 – Comparative Strategy & Thematic Revision
IB Lang & Lit Paper 2 – Structured Essay Planning
IB Lang & Lit Paper 2 – Timed Practice (In-Person Simulation)
Final IB Lang & Lit Paper 2 – Full-Length Timed Practice + Feedback

These sessions will cover:

  • Understanding Paper 2 requirements and assessment criteria
  • Comparative essay structuring techniques
  • Developing thesis-driven arguments across two texts
  • Themes, characterization, plot development, and authorial intent
  • Question-specific strategies for general and extract-based prompts
  • Integrating textual references effectively
  • Time management under IB exam conditions
  • Full-length timed practice essays

The in-person practice sessions will be conducted on:

12th April 2026 (9:00 – 11:00 am SGT)
19th April 2026 (9:00 – 11:00 am SGT)
26th April 2026 (9:00 – 11:00 am SGT)

These sessions focus on intensive comparative writing practice, strengthening analytical depth, and refining essay structure under exam timing.

The Final Paper 2 Practice sessions will be conducted on:

6th May 2026 (6:00 – 8:00 pm SGT)
7th May 2026 (6:00 – 8:00 pm SGT)

These final simulations are followed by structured, personalised feedback to help students understand exactly how to elevate their responses to IB top-band standards.
